
About Beverly Eckard
Beverly Eckard is an Estate and Elder Law Attorney with The Law Offices of Cheryl David. She has focused her career in the areas of asset preservation, Medicaid and government benefits planning, tax planning and return preparation, and estate planning. Ms. Eckard drafts revocable trusts, wills and irrevocable trusts for a variety of purposes, including life insurance trusts and asset protection trusts. Ms. Eckard developed her love of estate planning while in law school, winning an award from Branch Banking and Trust for an estate planning project completed in her second year. From the practice of estate planning she developed the passion and knowledge to help families with planning for their unique long term care needs.
Ms. Eckard has experience with another elder law firm in our area, and she most recently was an Elder Law Attorney with her own firm in High Point, North Carolina. She earned her law degree and Master of Business Administration from Campbell University in 1999. Ms. Eckard has a background in accounting and tax, starting with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1996. After graduating from law school, she worked as a tax associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers, as an estate and trust tax specialist with Dixon Hughes PLLC, and as a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Eckard is a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, including the Estate Planning and Elder Law practice sections, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.
