Cheryl David is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, the University of Baltimore School of Law, and the prestigious Trial Lawyer’s College presided over by Gerry Spence. A former administrative judge, Cheryl is certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist by the ABA accredited Estate Law Specialists Board, Inc. She is also a member of the Greensboro Estate Planning Council, American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, Medicaid Practice Systems, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In 2008, Cheryl received the honor of becoming a Fellow with the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. In order to maintain this advanced expertise, Cheryl takes over 36 hours of continuing education in Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Taxation each year. Her professional capabilities, together with over 25 years in practice, have combined to bring positive change to the lives of over 4,500 clients and their families.
Justin Plummer is an Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration Attorney with The Law Offices of Cheryl David. He focuses his practice on probating estates as well as administering different types of trusts, as well as real property law and real estate transactions. He also works with local entrepreneurs and other business organizations throughout other areas of North Carolina to establish business organizations and represent their interests in business transactions.
Justin earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where he double-majored in Pre-law and Psychology. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law in Virginia where he received the CALI Book Award in State and Local Government Law. Before coming to the Law Offices of Cheryl David, Justin practiced in the areas of Real Property, Business and Estate Planning law in and around the areas of Charlotte and Greenville, N.C. Justin is a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity, is an A.F. & A.M. Freemason, and a member of the Guilford County Rotary. Justin is also a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, Greensboro Estate Planning Council, North Carolina Bar Association, and The North Carolina Bar Association Section of Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law. He is also a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. While not at work, Justin enjoys attending and playing live music, watching the Carolina Panthers, and hanging out with his wife Jena, Pointer Holden and Beagle Benny.
Paul Zucchino is an estate planning and elder law attorney with The Law Offices of Cheryl David. Since graduating from Campbell University’s School of Law, he has focused exclusively on estate planning and Medicaid eligibility planning, including wills, trusts, estates, gifts, Veteran benefits, and deed work. Paul is licensed in North Carolina and is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, North Carolina Bar Association, and Greensboro Bar Association. He regularly presents at businesses and non-profit organizations in the Greensboro area on the topics of estate planning and asset preservation. Before he began working for the Law Offices of Cheryl David, Paul practiced law in Raleigh, North Carolina and volunteered with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice. He has counseled hundreds of North Carolinians, helping them save thousands of dollars and protect their family’s assets from nursing home costs.
Blaire David McClanahan
Blaire David McClanahan, Cheryl’s oldest child, is an estate planning attorney with the Law Offices of Cheryl David. She focuses her practice on helping individuals and families create and manage Guardianships. She received her Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2014. Prior to attending Elon, Blaire attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. While at North Carolina State University, Blaire received her Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship.
Blaire is a native of Greensboro, having attended Grimsley Senior High School (Go Whirlies!). While not at work Blaire enjoys skiing and traveling, but most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, George, and their two beloved dogs.
Client Relations Coordinator and Paralegal
Terri Busby is the Client Relations Coordinator. Terri has over 20 years of legal experience and is dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional customer service. She has been with our firm for over 14 years. Terri is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and still lives in Greensboro with her husband Jay and daughter Miranda, as well as their dogs, Harley and Salley.
Kemp Parsons is a paralegal in our Estate Planning Department. She is a graduate of Lenior-Rhyne University with a Bachelors’ Degree in both Psychology and Human & Community Services. Kemp is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal who has worked in both criminal and family law prior to becoming part of our firm. She resides in Greensboro with her husband and daughter.
Casey Losinski is the final signing paralegal for our Trusts and Estate Planning Department. She assists clients with reviewing and understanding their estate plan before signing their documents. She also helps clients transfer title to their assets into their trusts and provides assistance with any follow-up needs. Casey has over 15 years of experience in the legal field. She earned her Associate’s Degree in paralegal studies from the University of Toledo, before returning to her hometown of Madison, NC, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
Colleen Lepore is a paralegal in our Estate Planning Department who focuses on Medicaid planning and elder law. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She began her career in finance working in the mortgage insurance industry. Colleen has extensive experience as a estate planning paralegal, as well as with civil and criminal litigation. We are proud to share that she has been a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for abused children in Wake County since 2009 and continues to serve the community in meaningful ways today.
Tami Durham is a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Cheryl David who is responsible for the daily case management for our probate department. She has over 27 years of business and technical experience as a former senior business analyst with American Express. Tami lives in Greensboro with her miniature pinschers and is an avid cyclist, and can boast tackling a ride in Death Valley. Also active in the community, Tami is a long-time Red Cross volunteer.
Paula St. John
Office Manager and Paralegal
Paula St. John is the office manager and senior paralegal for Cheryl David. She has 25 plus years of paralegal, administrative, legal and management experience and has worked with Cheryl David over the past 18 years. She is responsible for managing the day to day operations of our office and managing work flow for our staff. Paula has a Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies from Colby College and a Master’s Degree in English from UNC-G. She lives in Brown Summit, NC with her husband Joe and son Jamie.
Director of Marketing and Client Relations
Kimberly is our Director of Marketing and Client Relations. She is responsible for the marketing and communication efforts of the firm. Kim is a graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Urban Health Policy and has a background in Healthcare, Marketing and Human Resources. She is currently at Duke Divinity School. Kim is a strong social justice advocate and long time volunteer in her community. She is the proud parent of Eleana and Keith and has three rambunctious dogs, Chips Ahoy, Zuli and Buddy.
Long Term Care Planner
Ellen is a long term care planner with sixteen years of experience in Greensboro, North Carolina. She works with individuals, families, and companies to provide affordable solutions to meet the rising costs of long-term care. Prior to returning to her hometown of Greensboro to become a caregiver for her mother, Ellen spent thirty years in public accountancy. She is an advocate for seniors on the national, state and local issues surrounding the aging. She is a Senior Fellow of the NC Institute on Aging at UNC-CH and once worked as President of the Triad Retirement Living Association in addition to being the President of the Board of Directors of the Adult Center for Enrichment—a United Way agency providing adult day care and day health. Ellen is currently a member of the Guilford County Senior Services Roundtable and maintains membership in the local and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in addition to being an active member of the American Association for Long Term Care.
Asheley Hall is a legal assistant at the Law Offices of Cheryl David who works in our probate department. When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and sweet pitbull, Bosco.
